The DEI 010243 GEN-3 Titanium T3 Turbo Shield & Installation Kit can help minimize the heat in the engine bay and help can your T-3 turbo spool faster. This turbo shield starts with a silicone coated outer shell to encases the seams, making them over 4 times stronger and to eliminate fraying of the seams. The inner layer is constructed with stainless steel, glass fiber & silicone for maximum strength, durability and thermal properties. The insulation layer uses silica for its low thermal conductivity and keep heat in turbo shield and turbo housing. A stainless-steel fabric inner cover adds to insulating properties as well as increasing strength, durability and insulation value. These layers all together mean that this turbo shield can handle radiant heat up to 2,500°F and direct heat up to 1,800°F. The included Installation Kit comes with a 2” x 15 ft. roll of Titanium wrap, (2) 20” stainless steel locking ties, and 5 ft. of fastening wire.
