The DEI 010244 GEN-3 Titanium T-3 Turbo Shield can help your T3 turbo spool faster and help minimize the heat in the engine bay. This turbo shield starts with a silicone coated outer shell to eliminate fraying and encases seams to make them over 4 times stronger. The insulation layer uses silica for its low thermal conductivity and keep heat in turbo shield and turbo housing. A stainless-steel fabric inner cover adds to insulating properties as well as increasing strength, durability and insulation value. The inner layer is constructed with stainless steel, glass fiber & silicone for maximum strength, durability and thermal properties. These layers all together mean that this turbo shield can handle direct heat up to 1,800°F and radiant heat up to 2,500°F.
