The DTech DT730031 Injection Control Pressure (ICP) Sensor is a brand new replacement for your 1994-1998.5 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke. The ICP sensor provides the powertrain control module (PCM) with a voltage signal that indicates the pressure in the high-pressure oil system.
This information is used by the PCM to control the injection pressure regulator (IPR) and thereby the pressure in the high-pressure oil system used to actuate the injectors. Common ICP sensor issues include oil leakage and improper signals to the PCM that cause many engine performance problems including, no start conditions, stalling, idle problems and surging.
