Towing and racing vehicles benefit greatly from a 6.7 Power Stroke water-methanol fuel injection system. You can't just spray water-methanol whenever you want; you need a particular amount of boost and heat to be present first. Snow-performance water methanol injection systems inject a high-pressure water-methanol combination into the engine's air intake.
Water-methanol systems need heat and boost to rapidly evaporate the water into steam, which cools the incoming intake charge. Water-methanol spray is usually not recommended when the engine is under extremely little load or low boost.
