The factory U-bolts are not strong enough to handle the high torque and power of your modified Cummins. This is why the Longhorn Fab Bracket Kit flips the U-bolts and gives you a massive bottom axle plate. This allows you to increase strength of the rear end and add traction bars at the same time.
