Shop Blessed Performance and order the Sun Coast Category 4 4R100 Transmission With Converter for your high performance 1999-2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke. The Category 4 4R100 Transmission is built with a variety of heavy-duty components designed to withstand the rigors of higher torque applications or vehicles used for towing heavy loads. The clutches, steels, solenoids, bands, and many more internals are upgraded to withstand higher heat ranges, ensure smooth shifting, and provide a long service life. The TransGo HD2 Tugger Valve Body Recalibration Kit is included with this transmission to further improve transmission performance. There are several components on the 4R100 transmission that aren't built to handle higher torque levels. Sun Coast addresses these common failure points and replaces them with reinforced components. To resist torsional fatigue, Sun Coast includes a 45 element intermediate sprag, a 300M billet steel input shaft, a 300M billet steel intermediate shaft, and a 4140 billet steel forward drum. For additional durability when towing heavy loads Sun Coast includes the Dual Load Center Support with a bronze bearing at the front of the hub. Another key upgrade included with the Category 4 4R100 Transmission is the Sun Coast Triple Disc Torque Converter with a billet stator. This torque converter is constructed with carbon-graphitic clutches, furnace-brazed fins, and hardened splines to deliver reliable performance.
