Shop with Blessed Performance for the XDP X220 Series Head Stud Kit for your 2008-2010 Ford 6.4L Powerstroke diesel. In addition to the increased strength, replacing the factory head bolts with studs also allows you to obtain a more precise torque reading. A conventional bolt gets twisted as it is tightened, so it's reacting to two different forces at the same time. With a stud the force gets applied to the vertical axis, resulting in a more even clamping force. These studs are a must-have for high-horsepower applications and are reusable, unlike the OEM Torque-To-Yield (TTY) bolts which must be replaced after each use. Another benefit of studs is they provide for easier engine assembly and proper alignment of the cylinder heads every time. To ensure maximum quality the studs are manufactured in an ISO/TS 16949 quality control facility. For a hassle-free installation, each set includes installation instructions. Assembly lubricant sold separately.
