The ARP 250-4202 Head Studs are a must-have upgrade for your 03-07 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke. These extra heavy duty studs are rated at 220,000 psi tensile strength and provide the clamping force required to keep your 6.0L Powerstrokes cylinder heads from lifting due to higher combustion pressures.

Manufactured in ARP's Santa Paula, CA plant from proprietary ARP 2000 material, with threads rolled after heat-treating to provide optimum fatigue strength. They are centerless ground to assure perfect concentrically. Also included in each kit are heat-treated, chrome-moly steel 12-point nuts and parallel washers, with a black oxide finish for extra durability. Why You Need 6.0 Powerstroke Head StudsHead gasket failure is one of the most common problems with 6.0L Powerstroke engines. Installing ARP head studs is a must, especially if you are running a chip or programmer that modifies your boost. It is for good reason that virtually every top professional engine builder relies on some of the best head studs out there for their truck. Simply stated, there's not a better head stud setup on the market today. ARP uses a premium grade 8740 alloy that is rated far superior to aircraft quality. Then, each stud is placed vertically in special racks and precisely heat-treated to 200,000 psi. ARP studs are thread rolled after heat-treat, which gives them about 1000% (that's ten times) better fatigue strength than those studs that are threaded prior to heat-treat (a very common industry practice). You won't find a better quality stud on the market from any other source for your 6.0 Ford Powerstroke engine.
