This piston kit features PDM’s Ceramic Piston Skirt Coating that merges the durability of a ceramic resin with the lubricity of the ceramic lubricant. This coating allows the pistons to handle up to 350,000 PSI and 1,600 degrees with a film thickness of .001” or less.
This Industrial Injection PDM-3732CC Ceramic Coated Piston Kit also includes PDM’s Thermal Barrier Coating for piston tops. This coating creates a hard surface for high compression engines to keep heat in combustion chamber longer through the power stroke. This increase in heat during the power stroke means an improvement in combustion chamber efficiency for greater horsepower and torque output. All pistons come with chamfered tops to minimize cylinder wall scuffing due to swelling of the piston.
